TWEATS+inspiration : Wicked Christmas Decor
H

Yesterday, Sue and I were in Moraga's bustling TJMaxx. It's clear pink is dominating Christmas decor this year and maybe it's a reaction to the new Wicked movie. I loved the movie about the early years of two witches. Of the two, I prefer Elphaba with her iridescent green skin. After all, she is still a good person in this movie. That got me thinking. How would Elphaba dress her rooms for the holidays? Let's take a look.

This exterior "welcome" has a witch broom vibe, don't you think? Most of these kind of decorations have a exterior plywood base covered in chicken wire.

A Parisian-style entry. The key is using similar color and materiel.

No need to put a garland all the way up the stairs.

The key to Elphaba's rooms is an abundance of a natural look.

Fresh greens, or faux, hang over the mantel. Don't you love the details?

Dark and moody - perfect for Elphaba's rooms. Turns out "Bois et Verdure" is a canvas wrapped print. The 28 x 35 size sells for $378. Yikes.

If you want the look but not the work, consider a front door wreath. Options : Make one. Buy a real (available almost everywhere that sells live Christmas trees) and dress it up. Buy an artifical one that will last for years.

No matter what, gotta love Elphaba's look. Next week, I'll show you my super easy holiday decor - a rift on the magic of nature but for a girl with allergies to most things green . Happy Sunday! Enjoy your day.
