True confession, I'm up to my ears in rabbits. I've always loved rabbits but when I found out the rabbit was my Chinese zodiac sign, that cinched the deal. Most of my bunnies only come out at this time of year as I'm not a fan of animals taking taking over my rooms. Over the years, I have given away more bunnies than I've kept. Really. I'm down to 14. Let's take a look.

My mom gave me this rabbit vase just after I bought my first house.

In the living room, cast iron bunnies.

Since I didn't need another bunny, this year I bought a $15 bunch of realistic hydrangeas at HomeGoods.

After shopping my basement, I mixed hydrangeas in with some moss balls and IKEA plants.

The rest of the stems went into a pot of IKEA paper ferns in the entry.

I've always heard bunnies multiply but this is crazy. Purchased at Blockbuster in the 1990s, I couldn't resist.

Another gift from mom - a platefull of Mahjong-playing rabbits.

In the guest room, my flea market cement rabbit and Miss Mary.

Adding up my rabbits, I didn't count my neighbor, a real rabbit. Years ago, I was telling Ruthann about all the wildlife around our house. She looked out the window and said, "Like those rabbits?" And there came a bunny parade right on cue. This little guy has been around for years. It's a brush rabbit who conceals himself in dense brush. I know that's true because I see him hopping back into it at dusk. No matter where you're hopping, enjoy your Sunday! I'll be back to show you my finished primary bedroom in two weeks. Promise!
PS Years of the Rabbit include 2035, 2023, 2011, 1999, 1987, 1975, 1963, 1951, 1939, 1927 etc. People born in a year of the Rabbit are called "Rabbits" and are believed to be vigilant, witty, quick-minded, and ingenious. The sign of Rabbit is a symbol of longevity, peace, and prosperity in Chinese culture.
