TWEAKS+inspiration : Fall Rooms

Happy Fall! Autumn officially kicks off on Wednesday, September 21. My house hasn't quite turned into a pumpkin but the entryway table is ready to go. That bouquet is an outdoor urn stuffed with artificial leaves and a few garlands, all from Michael's and the Dollar Store. Easy peasy. Then, ALL my moss balls scattered on the marble table. I've ordered some acorns but they're hopelessly backordered. Maybe in October.

I tend to concentrate seasonal "decorations" in our entryway, the living room mantel and maybe a little something in the kitchen to establish a feel. And, of course, I pull on pillow slipcovers. I'll be back next week with how that all turned out. In the meantime, I came across some fall decorations in Janelle Trinette's house. She has an amazing eye - but there is a lot. So if you're a minimalist, I'm not sure what you'll think. Just know she has great ideas and even though I wouldn't want ALL this in my house, it's sure fun to see. Let's take a look.

Janelle has an extensive pumpkin collection - all in neutrals.

A closeup of the mantel. Janelle's colors are extraordinary. I'm not a fan of signage in rooms but this one did make me chuckle.

In the dining room, a buffet top tableau sets a fall mood.

A closeup of the buffet counter. Notice the natural sheaves of wheat and timber platters.

A weathered door frames a wreath.

The dining room table features layering serving boards.

Here's a centerpiece idea we can all borrow - Janelle has layered trays, a wreath and a wooden bowl filled with pumpkins. Genius! Thanks to Janelle for getting us in the fall spirit with these TWEAKS+inspiration. Next Sunday, I'll be showing what I've come up with in our rooms. After all, it's only 10 weeks until Thanksgiving!
