Don't you love before and after pictures?  I didn't really appreciate the San Francisco Decorator Showcase until I saw the "befores."  It might seem like some of the character was removed but bright modern rooms embrace our current way of living.  Who's to say which is better?  The living room was paired down and now it gleams.  Let's take a look at these rooms - before and after the designers got their creative hands on them.

Wallcoverings : San Francisco Decorator Showcase 2016

The real star of this year's San Francisco Decorator Showcase are the walls.  Glorious walls covered in Venetian plaster, cotton velvet, luxe wallpapers.  While you have to ask yourself how long could you live with those monkeys ("Deco Monkey by de Gournay with 22-karat gold embellishment), they are sure fun at a decorator showcase.  Let's check out the rest of the house.

Gardens : San Francisco Decorator Showcase 2016

Just above Fisherman's Wharf, the 2016 San Francisco Decorator's Showcase on Telegraph Hill put me in sensory overload. Built in 1929 for $30,000, it sold last August to a developer for $9,998,000.  After this month's show, he's looking to sell it for around $15M.  Mind you, it's a 3 bedroom with a quirky floor plan but the exterior grounds are a Mediterranean wonder.  Let's circle around the exterior of the house for some ideas.
