Christmas at Home, 2016

posted on

Seems like a sense of childhood fun and holiday cheer is in order this Christmas.  Doing the house up in red and green with a generous sprinkling of Santas and a new sweater for Jimmy Mouse seemed like the perfect antidote to the outside world.

Red and gold ribbons bind the tree.

In the entry way, Santas await their marching orders.

Entry way niche holds cherished Santas.

Cousin Sue made this adorable snowman filled with peppermint candies.

Red throws and dark green velvet pillow covers (both from IKEA) in the living room.

Nothing beats a Thin Man movie at Christmas.

The living room mantel.

Happy Face collage lady wears a Santa hat.

In the powder room, a calm place for Flora.  Here's remembering my real Christmas angel who left us 11 years ago.  On this "Christmas Day Observed" (according to the Federal Government), I wish you and yours a wonderful Merry Christmas.
