With summer arriving this week, it's surely time to think about outdoor entertaining. In this month's issue of Veranda, an article just about knocked my flip/flops off. See that pretty tablecloth? If you're like me, you'll be surprised when you take a closer look.
Artist Cathy Graham loves 18th Century floral textile designs. The story goes that she was inspired at a New York City farmers' market to create a table design including fresh bean, pea, radish and okra. Summer its best.
Watermelon radish, rosemary, pea in and out of the pod - whimsical and oh, so fresh.
Cathy has a new book coming out in September, Second Bloom: Cathy Graham's Art of the Table (Vendor Press). I can't wait to see what else she's created. In the meantime, Happy Summer!
