Wallcoverings : San Francisco Decorator Showcase 2016

posted on

The real star of this year's San Francisco Decorator Showcase are the walls.  Glorious walls covered in Venetian plaster, cotton velvet, luxe wallpapers.  While you have to ask yourself how long could you live with those monkeys ("Deco Monkey" by de Gournay with 22-karat gold embellishment), they are sure fun at a decorator showcase.  Let's check out the rest of the house.

The docent told me this is vinyl wallpaper but it looks like a collage of linen pages.

Walls in a faux wood paper,  the geometric ceiling wallpaper is by Flavor Paper.
While all this is crazy fun, I can't seem to commit to wallpaper.  If you're like me, I'm addicted to wallcovering sites like de Gournay (degournay.com) and Osborne & Little (osborneandlittle.com) and dreaming big.  This morning, my husband reminded me that his printer can print wallpaper.  All I have to do is create a pattern.  Oh...

  • Jazzy wallpaper can spice up a room almost instantly. Now that textured paper or the look of texture is more reasonably priced, it’s becoming a much nicer and easier alternative to painted textured walls without all of the mess. Thanks for sharing!
